Ruth O. Edwards has been recognized for her excellence in the field of Real Estate and for her work at Coldwell Banker Next Generation Realty.

Having always been extremely driven to succeed, Ms. Edwards initially graduated with an associate degree in Retail Management and Merchandising from Middlesex County College in Edison, New Jersey, before working for 30 years as an Emergency Medical Technician and Paramedic in The Garden State.

In 2011, she made the move to Florida to be closer to her family. It was here that she decided to switch career paths, after a friend encouraged her to pursue a career in Real Estate. In 2015 Ms. Edwards began working in the profession in Florida and since then has served numerous clients, helping, and guiding them through the buying and selling process.

Over the years, she gained considerable expertise in residential real estate, earning a Broker’s license and Florida Real Estate license. With exciting plans in motion to relocate to Texas with her husband Kerry, Ms. Edwards hopes to also obtain a license in Texas.

In her current role with Coldwell Banker Next Generation Realty in Crystal River and Homosassa, Florida – where she has excelled as a realtor since 2019 – she collaborates with both buyers and sellers to ensure both parties achieve the outcomes they desire. Her aim is to create stress-free transactions and will work with her clients until they find their perfect home.

Ms. Edwards has achieved multiple certifications and designations, some being At Home with Diversity and Pricing Strategy Advisor Certified, as well as a Military Relocation Professional, Seller Representation Specialist, Short Sale and Foreclosure Specialist, Real Estate Negotiation Expert and Accredited Buyer’s Representative. Ms. Edwards has also received the Commitment to Excellence endorsement from the National Association of Realtors®. Attributing much of her success to her love of her work, Ms. Edwards has received many accolades throughout her career, including, being awarded for her work and was among the Top 500 Agents Award from Broker Agent Advisor in 2019 and 2020. She has also been recognized by Who’s Who of Professional Women, as well as Continental Who’s Who as a Top Pinnacle Realtor for her excellence in Real Estate.

To keep ahead of developments in her field, she is an active member of the Women’s Council of Realtors, the Real Estate Business Institute, Real Estate Buyer’s Agent Council, and Greater Tampa Realtors, and for the past five years, has also been a member of the Florida Realtors Honor Society. Additionally, in 2019, she served as President of the Realtors Association of Citrus County. Not only has Ms. Edwards been active in her local Association, she has been active at the state level serving on the Florida Realtor’s Professional Development Committee and the Curriculum Committee and at the national level serving on the Leading-Edge Advisory Board with the National Association of Realtors.

A pillar of the community, in her spare time, Ms. Edwards is a member of the King’s Bay Rotary, taught Sunday School classes and served as a Deacon at her church. She was also the Executive Vice President to a local organization, where she spent many hours helping low-income families find affordable housing.
